I am wanting to buy a beginner guitar set and don't really know what to look at. Any ideas??What is a good beginner electric guitar set?
Try musiciansfriend.com. Click on Guitars and then on Value packages. They have lots of good starter sets. The Fender and Epiphone for $199 are quite good. I have ordered many things from Musicians Friend , their prices are great.

What are some good beginner books to read about wicca besides Scott Cunningham?

I am converting and would like to find more info....PLEASE! no one give me an answer like ';read the bible'; or ';stay true to whoever or youll burn in hell'; ...cuz its my choice and my life not yours and it doesnt answer my question at all Thank YouWhat are some good beginner books to read about wicca besides Scott Cunningham?
    Leave Silver Ravenwolfs books alone!

Ha! Mr. Hopscotch accually had a good answer. Wicca for Dummies is an ok beginners book.

Heres a good website to look into.

Try John and Caitlin matthews. They are Celtic Shaman and practise the Craft. They have many many books on the market.
    Check out

    http://www.sacredhearth.com/books/wicca
    ';Wicca for Dummies';
Here's a recommended reading list that I agree with.

    http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/recommen…

You could also check out the Pagan Wiccan Times. They also have a good recommended reading list broken down by subject, and you can read the book reviews there as well.

    http://www.twpt.com/

And of course, The Witches' Voice is a great site for reading and networking.

    http://www.witchvox.com/
Cunningham is good from a practical standpoint, but as time has gone by I've become less and less trusting of his views on the religion itself. Not to say he's atrocious by any means... like any author, you should take what he says with a grain of salt.

    http://wicca.timerift.net has a good booklist
Stay away from wicca if you can help it...I suggest ceremonial/ritual magick.

Look for orders in your area...chaos magick is the best form because it is nondogmatic
    http://wicca.timerift.net/

it's a website, not a book. but it's a site written by wiccans, for wiccans.

    ****

sorry. i just don't know any good books. if you do want to study from books, i'd recommend picking a tradition first. traditions are the word wiccans use that's similar to the christian denominations. anyways, then you can pick a book about that tradition. it might be less confusing that way.
There are no ';good' books about learning wicca.

Hmm. I don't know why I don't just go through I ';thumbsdown'; all these answers.

And since you didn't address your question to Wiccans only, I guess I can answer.

Reiki healers,I have just recieve my first & second degree attunements,do you have any advice? for a beginner

Just wondering what other healers wanted to say to a new fellow healer.Reiki healers,I have just recieve my first %26amp; second degree attunements,do you have any advice? for a beginner
There are alot of lessons to be learned. The most important one is to learn to be unattached to the flow and results of a Reiki treatment.

Probably the #1 mistake of new practitioners is that they push ALOT of their own energies into a treatment in their zeal to do it well. Consequently they end up feeling very tired, and can often fall ill frequently from colds and coughs.

I suggest that Reiki practitioner take up some kind of mindfulness meditation training as an adjunct to their healing. http://www.wildmind.org/mindfulness is one of the best places to start (it has great articles and instructions on some basic practices you can get started with, and also includes free streaming guided meditations to help you learn the techniques). Mindfulness teaches you how to keep your attention in the moment, without getting caught up in your thoughts. Should thoughts, or other input arise, you learn to simply observe it, rather than react or involve yourself in it. This is the IDEAL mind set to have during a treatment.

I keep a blog with in-depth articles about various aspects of Reiki practice. Many of my articles focus on aspects of the practice that I feel are grossly misunderstood, or simply not addressed properly in many classes - but that are important to be aware of if one wants to develop as a healer.

Feel free to check it out http://reikisynergy.blogspot.com. There's actually a long article in there about mindfulness and reiki, just check in the archives for last month.

Blessings on your path.Reiki healers,I have just recieve my first %26amp; second degree attunements,do you have any advice? for a beginner
';Trust Reiki'; - you are the channel, Reiki does the work.

I have only had the Level I attunements for animal Reiki. I feel I had a ';break through'; last Friday - channeling for a sick kitten who was not eating and in pain from a congenital eye condition where the eyelashes grow into the eye. After one half-hour session she opened both her eyes and starting eating food on her own. I also did one half-hour with a badly injured wild bird (one leg basically destroyed). The bird came to the front of his cage during the channeling and later went quietly to the back of the cage to rest. The bird was euthanized at the end of the day. Reiki helped with his pain and distress and eased his passage to the spirit world.

I LOVE my Reiki Cd's. I do Tenihira every night and take ';Reiki Ho'; to the shelter with me and use it on a portable player. It helps me shut out the ';chatter'; of shelter activity and concentrate on the energy transmission.
You will go through a twenty one day cycle clear out. This will happen twice since you've been initiated twice. So this means 6 weeks of a clear out.Keep a note book of all that comes up for u! Practice your Reiki daily even on your pets, plants or family. Just go with the flow.
That, I believe, calls for a rousing HUZZAH from all us peasants.

However, as a mere peasant, I am too lowly to offer any advice.

    (HIPx2 + HUZZAH) x 3.

How to find a good piano teacher for adult beginner and 5 years old beginner?

Go to your local college or university, there are usually music majors there who teach on the side. Sometime you can even take a piano class there yourself. How to find a good piano teacher for adult beginner and 5 years old beginner?
you should get diffrent teachers for you and your kid? Your kid will learn way faster than you will, and it would be a bad thing to hold your kid back based on your learning skills. It is proven easier to teach a child than an adult~! but good luck

I would consult the yellowpagesHow to find a good piano teacher for adult beginner and 5 years old beginner?
you can look for the teacher in music schools.
