Using the stairs as a incline, so your at a roughly 45* angle, or doing push-ups from your knees?
OR
Doing the few REAL push-ups you can do?
Im abysmal at push-ups, but i dont know how to proceed.Which is more effective for a Push-Up Beginner?
the key is form. if you need to start with your knees fine, go slow and watch your form, less is more when you go slow. move to standard position when comfortable doing 20 or so, then go incline when can do 50 without to much discomfort. always slow and steady.Which is more effective for a Push-Up Beginner?
anybody can do a pushup but can you do them right?
thats where the best results lay.
now i cant help you with the pushup part i aint too great at them myself
but you would be better doing them on the ground.
by tilting most of your weight i presume goes into your legs and so you are only pushing your upper body
by doing it on the ground your 2 points attached to the ground are feet and hands.
your stomach suspends in mid air.
this way you are doing all your body if not most of your body in a push up
They don't get easier no matter how you do them that's why they call it workout. You only get better by doing them. Do as many as you can and then hold yourself in the starting position as long as you can then rest. Keep doing it and build on repetitions. Soon this question will seem odd. There are so many ways of doing them if you continue you will probably do them all until your doing handstand push-ups. One armed, fingers, fist, jumping off the ground and clapping. Putting your chest almost on the ground and hold it. Have fun. Like the add says JUST DO IT.
Start with your hands about shoulder width apart. Keep you head up looking forward and back straight. Go all the way down until you chest hits the ground. Push up to the start position but don't lock out your elbows. You are going to have to do this every day. Try to do at least 50. Start off with 10, stop, rest then do 10 more until you get to 50.
go in the fitness section push ups arent martial arts idiot
