Doesn't matter if it's an academic textbook or a non-acadmenic ';teach yourself'; book.Anyone know of a good beginner's latin textbook?
Adler is good. its free as well as a pdf.

When my bf took latin, they used a textbook called Wheelock's Latin. He said it was really good. Your local bookstore should also have flashcards and other study aids. Good luck!
