Would you recommend getting used drums for a beginner? $100?

I've been wanting to play the drums after I started playing the keyboard so I've been searching around for drums and my friend said he's selling his for 100 dollars. A complete set. I don't know the brand or the cymbals.

Also, when I go inspect the drums, what should I look for?Would you recommend getting used drums for a beginner? $100?
Yep that's a great buy. When go take a look at it make sure that there are no holes in the kick drum, make sure it has a kicker, make sure that it's not so duct taped, a couple is alright, but if it needs duct tape to keep the whole damn set to stand it's not worth it.Would you recommend getting used drums for a beginner? $100?
Im no expert on drums but i am one of those guys that would keep my drums in good condition.

you should look at the wood structure of the drum. if it looks pretty warped then this could lead to you constantly tuning the drum or cracking of the drum.
I like drummers.

Anyways, look around for any loose screws, check the pedals, stuff like that. Also, don't be afraid to ask if anything's wrong with it.
