BIKERZ help PLZ, I am a beginner and am curious of which bike to get. and MPG?

I just learned how to ride and took an MSF course. I know that i should stick to a 600cc, but which one. Im 5'8 150lbs. I was thinking about a Yamaha R6. Also whats the MPG on most 600's? thank youBIKERZ help PLZ, I am a beginner and am curious of which bike to get. and MPG?
Most 600s will get 45-50 mpg, depending on how you ride and how heavy the bike is. Sport bikes tend to be on the lower end of that because they sacrifice fuel for performance.

As for what bike:

The YZF-R6 is a race-ready sport bike designed for experienced riders. I keep typing this here: You could do perfectly well on a supersport bike, but such bikes can be unforgiving to inexperienced riders because of their performance capabilities. It isn't the BIKE that's dangerous, it's the combination of what the bike can do and what you are ready to react to. They also suck at carrying much around, so keep in mind that you'll either be wearing a backpack or trying to figure out sport-bike luggage, which amounts to the same amount of space.

So, at or around the R6 are:

Honda's CBR600RR, Kawasaki's Ninja 600 and Suzuki's GSX-R600. They might as well be the same bike for the sake of argument, differences are small and limited to areas outside your ability to exploit. They're all track-ready sport bikes.

Slightly more practical bikes:

Suzuki has the Katana line, which uses recent GSXR engines tuned down for street use. They're not a huge shift toward practicality, but it's a start.

The GSX650F is a new addition that appears to be a step up from the 500F starter, which would be a good thing.

The SV650 is a legendary starter bike that many people ride for years and years.

Kawasaki basically has the Ninja 500 and 650 to step to from the 600. Both are in a different category from the other Ninjas,. There's also the ZZR600 (no idea) and the new Versys, which seems to be built up from the bike that inspired the Ninja 650, the old EN600 European naked bike that never came over to the US.

Honda doesn't really have anything in the 600 range. The step up from the CBR is the Interceptor.

Yamaha has the R6S (similar styling to the R6, stepped down engine) and the FZ6, which seems to be a sibling to the SV650.

So go check them out, consider things other than how it looks and how fast they go and make a decision based on all the important elements to a vehicle.BIKERZ help PLZ, I am a beginner and am curious of which bike to get. and MPG?
